You sense the presence of magic auras. The information revealed depends on how long you study a particular area.

Round 1: Presence or lack of magic.

Round 2: Number of different magic auras, & the strongest magnitude. If an overwhelming aura, value at least twice {L}, is present, you are stunned 1 round (Will prevents).

Round 3: The magnitude, location, & category (arcane vs. divine) of each aura (for auras outside line of sight, you discern direction, but not exact location). You can make Dweomer checks to determine the school/type of magic involved in each (DC 10+{C}, or 15+{½} for a non-spell effect; you take a -5 penalty if the aura is not visible); exceeding this DC by 20 gives you data for that aura as though you had attempted & succeeded the round 4 check.

Round 4: The spell or item's effects (Dweomer DC 20+{L}); you may not attempt to identify a given spell or item this way more than once.
